1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FreeAPIHub ("we", "us", "our", or the "Service") at freeapihub.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. Where the Service is used on behalf of an organisation, the individual accepting these Terms represents that they have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Description of Service
FreeAPIHub is an editorial directory of free APIs, open-source AI models, and AI tools. We provide:
- A searchable, curated catalogue of third-party APIs and AI models.
- Editorial summaries, documentation excerpts, code snippets, and usage examples.
- An API submission system allowing the public to suggest new listings.
- User accounts for saving listings and tracking submission status.
- A blog with developer guides and tutorials.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features (saving collections, tracking submissions) you must create an account. When creating an account you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Maintain the security of your password and promptly notify us of any unauthorised use.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Not create accounts for automated or bulk use without our prior written consent.
You may not use a username that impersonates another person or entity, or that is offensive or misleading. We reserve the right to refuse registration or cancel accounts at our discretion.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download directory content without our prior written permission.
- Transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or infrastructure.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent API listings.
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users or members of our team.
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or resell any portion of the Service without express written permission.
We reserve the right to investigate and terminate access for users who we believe are violating these Terms.
5. API Submissions & Content
When you submit an API, AI model, or any other content to FreeAPIHub, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, and modify that submission as part of the directory.
By submitting content you represent and warrant that:
- You have the right to submit the content and grant us the above licence.
- The content is accurate and not misleading.
- The API or model you are submitting is publicly accessible and does not violate any third party's rights.
- The submission does not contain malware, phishing URLs, or other harmful material.
We reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any submission at any time for any reason, including but not limited to failure to meet our quality standards, inaccurate information, or violation of these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property
The FreeAPIHub name, logo, site design, and all original editorial content (descriptions, tutorials, blog posts, code examples written by our team) are owned by FreeAPIHub and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce them without written permission.
API names, logos, and documentation text belong to their respective owners. We display this information under fair-use principles for the purpose of editorial commentary and developer reference. If you are an API owner and believe we have misrepresented your product, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
Code snippets we publish that demonstrate API usage (authentication examples, request examples) are provided under the MIT Licence — you may use them freely in your projects.
7. Third-Party APIs & Models
FreeAPIHub is a directory, not an API provider. The APIs, AI models, and tools listed in our directory are operated by third parties. When you use a listed API or model, you are subject to that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy.
We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, legality, or quality of third-party APIs. We verify listings at the time of publication but cannot monitor them continuously. Always review the provider's current documentation before building on any API.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that defects will be corrected. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided through the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FREEAPIHUB AND ITS TEAM MEMBERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of €100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (typically €0, as the Service is free).
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FreeAPIHub and its team members from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) content you submit to us; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the Service itself.
You may terminate your account at any time through the Dashboard. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including IP rights, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitation of liability.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence, which these Terms do not override.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes by emailing registered users and updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. If you disagree with the updated Terms, your only recourse is to stop using the Service.
