Advertising Disclosure
Last updated: May 2026
FreeAPIHub is free to use. To keep it that way, we display advertisements and sometimes earn affiliate commissions. This page explains exactly how — because we think you deserve to know what's paid and what isn't.
How we make money
1. Display advertising
We serve ads through Google AdSense and may, in the future, work with other ad networks. Ads are clearly labeled with the word "Advertisement" or the Google "AdChoices" icon.
Display ads are:
- Not chosen by us — they're served by Google's algorithms based on the page content and your interests (if you've consented to personalized ads).
- Not endorsements — appearing on FreeAPIHub doesn't mean we endorse the advertiser.
- Not influencing our editorial coverage — see Section 4 below.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google Ads Settings or via our Cookie Settings.
2. Affiliate links
Some links on FreeAPIHub are affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase, the seller may pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you.
We mark affiliate links with [↗] or other clear indicators. Networks we may participate in include Amazon Associates, Cloudflare Partners, and direct partnerships with API and AI tool providers.
3. Sponsored content
Occasionally we may publish sponsored posts or sponsored placements. These are always labeled "Sponsored" or "Paid placement" at the top. Sponsorship buys placement, not review opinion. We currently do not run sponsored content; if that changes, this page will be updated.
Editorial independence
Here's the line we don't cross:
- We never change the rating, ranking, or pros/cons of an API, model, or tool because of advertising or affiliate revenue.
- We never remove negative reviews because a vendor asked.
- We never accept payment to add a new API listing — listings are added based on editorial review.
- Sponsored placements are clearly labeled and do not appear in organic comparisons.
If you ever spot a conflict you think we missed, email editorial@freeapihub.com and we'll review it publicly.
How we choose what to feature
Editorial picks are chosen based on real free-tier value, documentation quality, reliability, community signal, and genuine usefulness. They are not influenced by ad spend or affiliate rates.
